Patrick Zentz, Artist
Pat's work is in kinetic sculpture. He translates the environment or other natural influences into art that is alive with motion and sound. Pictured is the electronics which control the action of twenty four solenoid drip valves in response to wind speed, wind direction, and temperature. The work is a large fountain and is part of the permanent collection at Yellowstone Art Museum in Billings, Mt.
Terrain Flute

This is a sixty port air valve we designed and produced for another of Pat's pieces. It uses wind direction to play a corresponding flute tuned
to a note relative to the height of the surrounding terrain. It produces a haunting and sometimes playful melody.
